Adventure Voyage Kayak 230cm Paddle, 4-Part

I purchased this paddle as my back-up paddle. I needed one that broke down in four sections, and this is perfect as is fits nicely in the kayak's front compartment. Once it arrived, I expected the connection points would be very loose, but they are remarkably tight (so, for this price that was a very pleasant surprise). The weight is what I expected from a 4-part paddle, with an Aluminum shaft. However, if you were to use this as your primary paddle, it would still work very well. Overall, this paddle is well made and a great value for the money (it is not a $500.00 paddle, so if you don't expect the performance characteristics of a $500.00 paddle, you will be satisfied).

Nice paddle. I had to replace mine because I left it behind somewhere. Just as good as a much more expensive paddle.

I was hesitant to buy these paddles because a few reviewers mentioned them being too wobbly. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're pretty sturdy. The aluminum they're made of feels pretty thick and slots in tightly (good tolerances). These are 4-piece paddles, so they won't be as rigid as 2-piece or 1-piece, but it's not bad at all. I'm happy with them, especially for the price.

For beginners good!

Great size and a great paddle. It comes apart and fits inside the bag with my Advanced Elements kayak. Makes it much easier when you take the kayak on a trip!

As someone else has stated. There seems to be quite a bit of play/movement between the joints. My other advanced paddles (black coloured ones) do not suffer from this.
