Like will my hand hurt from vibration caused by striking metal?** A: The head is attached to the handle very tightly, there is 0 play there. The handle is made of a dense plastic (yellow) with a grip portion covered with a softer rubber-like plastic (black) which is tightly bonded to the handle. All together, these measures definitely help absorb impacts very well. To a degree, this a personal thing, but for me, I didn't have any issues using it on an anvil shaping hot metal. Regardless of what you do though, I would highly recommend wearing work gloves as well. This helps even more. **Q: Will this work to demo cast iron or steel bath tub?** A: It will destroy anything short of depleted uranium armor. **Q: What is the pointed striking edge for?** A: pin point in striking **Q: What is the hardness of this hammer?
