Shimano Vanford F Spinning Reel

Shimano dosent disappoint smooth casting and immediate hook ups i own 5 vanfords in the 2500 and 2000. Won't fish without them. We'll worth it and the gomex handle is a equal advantage upgrade.

I usually try to avoid paying over 100 for UL spinning reels, and I would add I've always found good performing reels at that price point. The vanford was north of 100 bucks but I wanted a UL reel for small mouth bass in a saltwater environment. i loaded the reel with 4 lb test and an old Kencore UL 5.6 rod. This reel really performs. Using small plastic swimbait I noticed I could cast further, and the super light weight vanford worked as expected. 1st day out kayak fishing I caught 4 bass, 2 in the 2lb range, again the reel was rock solid, with a predictable drag and left me with no doubt the reel could handle bigger fish. In closing, you can absolutely find great performing reels for less but using the vanford you'll know straightaway this a quality reel that will last a long time.

By far, this is the best reel I have owned. I love the lightweight design and performance of the reel. It casts smoothly, and I rarely experience tangles like I do with other reels.

Fantastic reel. Use it for drift fishing for steelhead in early spring. Could have a better handle, but that is personal preference. The t handle is not my favorite

as always the vanford reels are top of the line have 4 2500s all out spotted trout died to the cold stunn so crappie perch and coon perch better look out..

This reel was suggested by a friend that knows fishing much better than I do. It's more than I have ever spent on a reel but I think its a good investment in a unit that will be long lasting. It was easy to assemble onto my new rod and fill with line. I found it super smooth to both cast and reel. It is very lightweight yet still extremely well made and appears durable. Highly recommended!

Compré el Vanford 4000XG por 125€. La primera unidad que recibí hacía un ruido de rozamiento y no iba fino. Me puse en contacto con el vendedor y me lo reemplazaron por otro. La 2a unidad que he recibido funciona perfectamente. El movimiento es suave y no hace ruidos extraños al girar. Tuve la mala suerte de recibir una unidad defectuosa o con marcas de uso pero el vendedor me mandó otra unidad sin coste alguno y en tiempo récord. Recomiendo, es un carrete muy top siempre y cuando te llegue una unidad sin fallos. Si lo puedes comprar por debajo de 150€ es una auténtica ganga.
