A very good epoxy at a great price
I recently needed to replace the deck on my wooden boat, so I decided to try this reasonably priced epoxy as a test. I've been using the West System Epoxy for years, but the high prices were getting out of hand. I ended up using three gallons of this epoxy to complete the entire project. It was used for structural repairs, securing the cedar planks, and finishing the deck. The epoxy performed exceptionally well. It dried solidly, mixed smoothly with the fillers, and provided a strong, reliable bond throughout the project. The experience was straightforward and hassle-free, which made the job much easier. Best of all, I saved hundreds of dollars compared to what I would have spent on the West System Epoxy, and so far, it has held up perfectly. Given how well this epoxy worked and the significant savings, I’m definitely sticking with this brand for future projects. It’s proven to be a reliable and cost-effective alternative to the more expensive options out there.

Excellent High-Performance Marine Epoxy
I recently purchased this Marine Boat Epoxy Resin for a significant project on our pontoon boat. We needed a reliable, high-performance epoxy to coat the new wood flooring we installed, and this two-part epoxy kit was perfect for the job. The kit includes one and a half gallons of epoxy, and mixing the two parts together was straightforward. We applied it to the bottom of the boat, and it turned out fantastic. While the application process was a bit challenging at times, the results were well worth it. The epoxy provided a durable, smooth, and high-quality finish that exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this epoxy resin for any marine-related repairs or construction projects. It truly delivers excellent performance and durability. Five stars for a product that delivers as promised! Feel free to adjust any details to better fit your experience.

Great product for the price
I used this to seal a new floor on my boat. As the old floor was completely rotten. It's easy to use and takes a a few hours to become tacky. I did 3 coats over 4 day. Between the 2nd and final coat there was a little bit of water on the surface which made the floor extremely slippery. I mixed up 48 ounces of epoxy and added a half cup silica sand and rolled it on for the final. Turned out beautiful and the sand was just enough to keep from slipping when wet. Only down side is it scratches extremely easy. I. Probably going to add a coat of polyurethane to remove the scratches and make for a resistant surface.

3 years later.
I refinished a 16 foot boat a couple years ago. 3 long sections of floor, and a transom. Sealed up the wood very well, and is still holding strong. There was still a good bit left over.

good stuff, but need workaround for viscosity
I've used this epoxy a few years now mostly wood boat related, for bonding and 'glassing. It behaves just like popular name brand resins during application and after curing. The major difference is the viscosity of the two parts before mixing. The resin itself is thicker and the hardener is thinner. This makes dispensing the two parts challenging compared to leading brands. The resin part is so thick that unless heated, the usual pump system is slow and frustrating. The work around for me is to use plastic squeeze bottles (I use 6 and 12 ounce size clear kitchen style bottles) to dispense small amounts using a digital scale for measuring, and pour dirctly from the jug for larger batches.

Marine guard 8000
Iv used this product for a number of years now an find It to be a pleasure to use both in its application and its final result. Iv used bar top epoxies in the past which are also effective however marine guard 8000 is vastly harder, remains clear and adheres very well. I use it to seal wood in marine environments, once mixed it penetrates easily which is helped by lightly heating the wood intended to be sealed. This is the hardest curing epoxy iv ever used, it requires a good sanding to scuff the surface for painting and ince sanded, takes primers very well. One issue is it can be brittle when used without a filler such a shreded fiberglass or fiberglass sheets in a top coat situation however for the purposes of wood sealing it is the best most durable epoxy I have ever used with almost no smell or voc's and mixes easily. Highly recommend.
