Good Grips Stainless Steel Splatter Screen with Folding Handle

Great splatter deflector. It reduces at least 80% of the fine grease spatter and 100% of the big bits that might fly of with it. Does it eliminate needing to clean the stove? No, but it makes my life much easier. I love the folding handle. I have a gas range and have had no issues with discoloration of the metal. There is some color where I accidentally subjected the steel to direct fire, but that's what happens when you try to burn metal. Zero impact to it's function. If this one wears out, then I will buy another.

My husband gets so mad at me because I rarely turn on the vent fan over our range when cooking. But when I hear things sizzling and splattering about, I absolutely reach for a splatter screen first. I had a set of 3 mesh splatter screens that I loved. 3 different sizes for different sized pans. They claimed to be dishwasher safe but over time, they rusted and one handle eventually broke off. When looking for a new splatter screen I came across this one and immediately loved that is was Oxo brand as I believe they are great quality products. I also loved that this was a one size fits all screen, meaning I only needed to store one and not 3. In addition, the folding handle option is awesome! It allows me to easily store it in cabinets and in the dishwasher. In addition, it feels sturdy like it will not break off easily. As far as the ability to keep my range top clean and limit splatter, it does a good job. But I have found with almost any splatter screen, you are never going to have complete avoidance of some grease getting on your counters/stove top. But this one definitely helps limit that a lot. In addition, it fits great over all of my pans. It is very very large! My only complaint is that it is so large that it actually gets a bit stuck in the dishwasher when I am pulling the bottom rack out and pushing it back in. But as long as I am careful about how it is leaning when I do this, it is fine.

I would first like to say this product works well. It reduces the splatter of grease and oil on my stove top. It fits a variety of pans. It folds down to save some space and cleans easily. The only issue I have is when I lift it off the pan I still get splatter. I did not think about that when I bought this. I thought wow I need a splatter screen because I am constantly wiping up grease and oil splatter off my stove top and this will stop me from doing that. Reality, I am still doing that. Is it as much? No, not nearly as much but it makes no difference to me if it is a lot or a little I still am wiping it off my stove top after cooking. The flaw is not in this product it is in the operation of putting a lid or cover on anything you are cooking you eventually need to take it off to either turn or stir and that is when the splatter will leave the pan and end up on your stove top. I love the product but I use it less than I thought because of what I just described.

Great design! It works beautifully, as most OXO products do. It even worked well on my littlest 7" diameter saucepan. The handle has a nice solid comfortable grip that my arthritic fingers can grip and hold effortlessly. Easy to wash the screen, and the handle collapses with a simple push of a button for flat storage. Again I'll say, great design OXO. I'm thrilled to finally find a good splatter screen that works as advertised.

Was looked for a new splatter screen for cooking and keeping the messes contained and this worked out perfectly! It's straight edged, so it can sit on most pots or pans. It's also quite large, so it even covers my largest used pans for sauteing or frying. Great quality and value with an easy to clean screen and a folding handle.

This splatter screen works fairly well. It fits the frying pans as stated, and is pretty sturdy. The fold-down handle is a great feature. I used it when frying bacon in a large frying pan and I did notice tiny little splatters on the stove, but that could have been because I raised the screen to turn the bacon. If you do something like that, I would suggest raising the screen only part-way and "sneaking" the tongs or spatula under the screen to turn the food and then lowering the screen back down onto the pan. It did splatter much, much less than the mesh-type screens. As far as easy to clean goes, as soon as I removed it from the frying pan, I stood it up in the lower rack of the dishwasher, handle extended, and it came out beautifully. I didn't even rinse it first. Overall, it's a keeper and I would recommend it.

The splatter screen works ok but the holes in the mesh are too large and you can still get oil splatters go past them. The does not lock in the closed position. Unless you store it flat, the handle will swing open.

Tener presente que solo vale para las sartenes de la marca o si se da la coincidencia de que la que tengas sea del mismo diámetro en mi caso probé con tres y en ningún caso coincidió la medida.

Very happy with this splatter screen. It's well made, easy to clean, made of good stainless steel and the fold-up handle is a great feature that saves on space. One of the foods that splatters the most is fresh peppers (because of their high moisture content), they splatter a lot, especially when first put into a frypan with hot oil, this keeps the splatter to a minimum allowing for much less clean up of the benchtop and range. Happy with my purchase.

Das wäre also der 3. Spritzschutz für dieses Jahr. Entweder die Teile zerlegen sich bei uns nach wenigen Wochen (Fackelmann) oder sind eher Deckel mit zu wenigen Löchern (dh man dünstet eher damit... Tchibo- Teil). Positv hier... man kann es zusammenklappen. Schöner Griff... griffig. Wirkt im grossen und ganzen stabil und sein Geld wert. Ohne dass man das Gefühl hat Schammas gekauft und nur die "Marke" bezahlt zu haben (WMF... Importware ohne Nutzwert). Mal sehen wie lange der hier hält. Auch positiv... richtig gross und für 32cm/33cm locker ausreichend. Fett bleib drin... Dampf nicht. Das ist schonmal was :).
