Chameleon Art Products, Chameleon 5-Pen, Warm Tones Set

I really like the Chameleon pens! I like that they make blending, highlighting, and full coloring easy. I will say that it took awhile to figure out the technique to use the blending process, but after playing with the pens for a bit I did get the hang of blending with the pens and ABSOLUTELY LOVE them. Chameleon Pens also has tutorials on their website explaining how to use the pens with different techniques and there are also instructions in the packaging. I also like the colors of the markers. This set of Warm Tones has beautiful shades of color including 3 hues of red, one from the yellow family and one shade of orange. The color at full color is vibrant and lays flawlessly on the page. These markers will bleed through standard coloring book pages, so I do recommend having a blotter behind the page you are coloring to keep the next page from being ruined. Another benefit of these markers is that they're refillable and the nibs (tips of the markers) are replaceable. So, yes these markers a more expensive than other alcohol based markers, but they'll last a lifetime and the ink refill and nibs are not as expensive as the initial investment of the entire marker. TIP: Don't lift the tip of the marker off of the page when coloring at full color; otherwise, the ink will dry very quickly and the alcohol will spread on the page leaving a definite line that has been challenging to cover. Overall, I would and have recommended these pens to my friends and family and I hope that my review helps you decide whether or not you'd like them too! They're one of my favorite mediums to color with these days! They work as advertised, and I love the colors! They're very long weird markers and when people see them they want to know how they work, it's fun to explain but nerve-wracking to watch them play with them! They're best for their novelty and probably for coloring books, as it takes a lot of practice to master the ratio of time tip-touched vs how quickly the colors fade back in on paper. I enjoy them but can't think of a really good use for them that isn't fulfilled by my various other markers. I tried experimenting with lightening up a dark color, then touching the yellow on top of THAT, and got a really cool 1-pen 2-color gradient that was very fun.

Love, love these markers! I have no artistic skill and these blend colors beautifully. Love all the different gradients I can do. Can't wait to get all the colors!

They are a little big to work with other then that they are a nice pen.

These markers are the absolute best investment I have ever made. They put Prismacolor, Coptic, and all other alocohol pens to shame. They are very easy to work with and every part of the pens are replaceable or refillable. So when buying them, you're buying something that really will last a lifetime. I previously invested in the 22 pen set and I wanted to expand my color options after the release of 30 new colors, but I didn't have the money to do it all at once. These five pack kits are an amazing way to get those new colors in an affordable manner.

These markers are amazing for what they're meant for. The transition between colors is smooth and brilliant. And I need to use them more than I do.
