The sizing on these is surprisingly spot-on. I wear a 10.5US and my other Frye boots are usually a little snug out of the box but they stretch and mold and fit great after a few months. These are slightly roomier (more like a 10.75) and fit great out of the box without being loose, just plain comfortable. The bottom of the shoe (where your foot is) is stiff but still flexible, the upper part (ankle) is thinner and very flexible. Another post said they offered good ankle support, I disagree. It's leather, it's around your ankle, but you're not getting any support there. Like their other full-leather boots these don't breathe. If your feet sweat a lot you could end up with very stinky boots. You probably won't wear these in 90+ heat either. I don't expect the leather to keep my feet warm in single digit temperatures either, but I'll wear thick socks for those days.The color out of the box resembles the pic, the upper part is dyed lighter and looks more worn. Actually my boot looks "banded". The bottom is dyed very dark (which has been "distressed" with some scrapes and scuffs). The middle is slightly lighter, and the top the lightest. There are distinct bands between the areas. I'm sure these will fade with time and look more natural. The sole seems to be the same rugged construction as some of my other Frye boots. I expect it to handle a few years of use before needing the heel replaced.The laces are Frye's typical waxed/treated cotton. I did have a pair of these wear out on an older boot and finding an exact replacement is sadly impossible.Like most new boots I expect these to "bloom" after the first few weeks as the leather releases excess oil. It is easily wiped away with a clean cloth. Then I'll treat them with some conditioner and enjoy them for many years to come.The boots look equally great with jeans or khaki's, and can easily go from a casual to business casual.I've already recommended them to several friends and have received a few positive compliments. I'm actually considering getting a pair in black as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The style wasn't quite what I was looking for so I ultimately went with a distressed pair of the combat style Wayde boots from F *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2016* I previously purchased a pair of the Frye Rogan Hiker (discontinued style, sadly) in a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I am typically an 8.5 but with Frye and Timberland boots I sometimes run an 8. So, I ordered these in an 8 expecting them to be sized the same as a previous version, but they were too small. I was going to return them for a larger size but opted to just return them altogether. The style wasn't quite what I was looking for so I ultimately went with a distressed pair of the combat style Wayde boots from Frye that I like much better.Overall, Frye makes a stylish product but the quality does seem to be lacking in recent years.
