You are not totally isolated but the noise reduction was noticeable on first use. They will send replacement as long its within warranty coverage. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Pleased with "Zipbuds" *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2016* I don't know how good earbuds can be if you spend enough but these exceed and meet my needs. I have apple devices and have always just used the apple earbuds feeling those to be great. Recently, the gym I go to has begun playing their raucous music and continual announcements overly loud. So, my need was to have some abient noise shielding earphones without looking like a helicopter pilot by wearing cumbersome full sized studio headphones. I find these a good solution with a key selling point being the anti-tangling wire which seems to be the plague of all other modern earbuds. These do not naturally tangle whch will probably save me a bunch of time and with the cord the way it is, there is a quality feel and expectation of long life. The plug is perhaps the only one I have that easily and without extra force fits in the cover on my ipod. The mic does not include up and down volume but a single button that pauses and unpauses the playback which is awesome making it easier to stop playback if you must talk to someone or whatever rather than pulling the ipod from a pocket and fidgiting around trying to stop it. Earbuds fit comfortably and do reduce ambient noise. They do seem light and comfortable to me. Sound quality is better than apple earbuds which is just great as now I feel like I got what I needed and a bit of an upgrade as well. Quite happy with my purchase. Might get a second pair later. The company contacted me after the purchase with a free bonus offer and a person e-mailed with me about if I need anything, they could be reached. My wife likes the soft touch of the wires a lot as well as the comfort of the angled ear canal inserts. She also likes the fidelity of the sound and thinks they are attractive. These are now my wife's earbuds.My daughter liked the comfort, wires and sound, but they weren't the brand that her friends are wearing - so much for peer pressure.These earbuds are a Christmas gift for my 13 year old daughter. I selected the color to match her ipod. However the actual earbuds are a much lighter pastel and are not the intense color represented in web site are or on the packaging. I have tried to contact the company for a return or preferably an exchange for a new pair, but the system tells me that since it was over one month I could not return them. It refers me to the Amazon standard return policy! I left a message on the company's customer service line, but have not received a response.
