Easy instal and works great
This is extremely easy to install and works great. If you're unsure about the install, look on youtube for videos. There are a few good ones and they'll walk you through it. Be sure that you know if you have a stamped or milled receiver AK as that will change how you install it. If it's stamped, you can simply use the screws and nuts with a bit of loctite. If it's milled, you're going to want to drill and tap the receiver, Some people opt to use rivets like the rest of the receiver but I didn't do that so I can't help with that. I used a 9/64" drill bit for my stamped AK. I also measured and remeasured before doing any drilling. The rail should align with the top of your receiver but 1cm down. This dovetail fits both the UTG brand side rail and TufForce Adjustable rail great. I started with the UTG rail, which was constructed great and was very sturdy, but it sat too far to the right. I returned it and now have the TufForce on because of the adjustability.

Great Ak Side Plate
I had purchased this to attach onto my Mosin Nagant 9130, since i love the Ak style mounting system. It was machined well with a good finish. People complain about UTG making rough equipment, but i would have to disagree. It does not come with bolts, or any instructions, but if you are going to be buying this, then you should have a planned out how to attach it. Anyways, i later on pre-drilled the holes, and tapped them, and put on the bolts (get them at Ace Hardware). I had to also weld a small piece of metal, about 1/4 wide, and 1.5 in long in order to support it on the Mosin's receiver. After i completed it all, i secured the bolts with some Loctite glue, and i was finished. The side plate still works great, it hasn't bent in anyway, and it holds on alot better than the original P/U Nagant scope mount. Over all this, is a great Side Plate for the buck.

Works well
Worked well for my AK that did not have a side mount. It was a pain to drill and tap my AK but this has been a worthwhile upgrade. I just drilled through and bolted it on with some blue threadlocker. Works well. Looks a little redneck but oh well.

Fits perfectly and great value
This side mount looks and feels like it’s made with good quality material. Pretty easy to install. You just lined it up and drill 3 holes on the side of the receiver. The 3 nuts did not interfere with any of the moving parts inside the receiver. I am very pleased and impressed with this mount.

BEWARE
NOT FOR UNDERFOLDER - I installed this on my underfolder AK like a dummy then realized was no way to slide the UTG mount past the hinge poimt on the underfolder - later realized now I cant fully fold my stock ( can fix ) ---- Is however good quality and will be a great cover for the damn holes I drilled to install it - word to the wise install this as low on receiver as possible or you may have rail issues

An excellent addition to your AK
I have an AK47C which did not have a side plate. I tried to scope the rifle with 2 different rails, one of which came on a replacement bolt dust cover and the other a long rail that I had to remove the front sight to install. Neither were satisfactory. I purchased and installed this side plate to allow me to use a quick-release scope mount with the rifle. The plate mounted very easily and required only drilling and tapping 3 holes thru the receiver. Measuring carefuly, I set the side plate in place and held it with a couple drops of super glue. This allowed me to place the rifle on my drill press and drill directly through the holes in the side plate to accurately locate the holes in the receiver. I then tapped the holes, used thread locker on both the screw and nuts and tightened everything down. Works great! I mated it with a UTG quick-release mount and became a happy shooter!

Easy to install-- must have correct tools. Do it yourself!
The side plate comes with mounting hardware. Remove the dust cover, recoil spring, and bolt assembly from your UNLOADED rifle. You will need to release the hammer for access inside the reciever for the middle bolt. I'm sure the supplied bolts are metric (4mm) but a 5/32", 36 threads to the inch tap works perfectly. I took a small "c" clamp and clamped the plate to the side of the receiver by placing the foot of the clamp in the magazine well. I also placed a small block of wood between clamp and the plate. Placement of the plate is a no brainer. There is a machined-out recess on the rear of the plate for an existing rivet head and cut-outs on the bottom of the plate for two axis pins. Postion the plate for minimum clearance to allow removal of the pins. Use the depth gauge on your calipers to level the top of the plate with the top of the reciever. I selected a bit that would barely pass through the holes in the plate which I used the mark the receiver once I had the plate clamped in the correct place. After indexing the reciever with just the tip of the bit I unclamped the plate and drilled the holes in the receiver using a #29 drill bit. I put a drop of oil in each hole and actually tapped the reciever (it was a stamped receiver). Work carefully here, be sure to reverse the tap a time or two as you are tapping the holes as the reciever metal is quite hard. Debur the tapped holes on the inside of the receiver with some fine sand paper. Mount the plate to the receiver with the supplied hex head bolts. Tighten them snuggly, don't get carried away, they are only 5/32" bolts. I then installed the provided nuts on the bolts where they extended inside of the reciever. The use of "lock-tite" would not hurt. I did this by placing the disassembled rifle on a towel on my coffee table while I watched TV. Took less than 30 minutes.

In altre parole è impossibile montarla male.
