I have no experience with magnifiers or their mounts so I have no reference to compare this to anything. So far the main thing I noted is that the two screws that attach the arm (that actually holds the optic) to the mount (the bottom part that attaches to pic rail)came loose or where shipped loose. Those screws need loctite, otherwise the arm part will wobble a lot and probably fall off at some point. The mount has a little play in it, but I don't find it excessive and seems like that is inevitable. The arm is easily manipulated from either position (in use/not in use), when the magnifier is moved back into place for use, it retains zero. With my setup up using the forward sweep mount on my md25, all the way to the front of my pic rail on my upper (not extending over the barrel) I have a little bit of room to chose how close to the optic I want to mount the magnifier, not a lot but more that just one space. They are meant for magnifiers where it doesn't make any difference. It would not hold zero at all with a scope in it. You would be lucky to keep your shots in an 8-10" circle at 50 yards using one of these. You need a solid mount for that or a set of rings that mount solidly to the rifle. You can also buy quick disconnect rings that will hold better zero when taken off and put back on if you buy good ones. Good enough!!!! There is a slight wiggle, if you swing the rifle around, but I have no issues whatsoever with it being on point when I need it to be.
