I've used these spikes for indoor track and outdoor track and achieved PRs in the 3200, 1600, 800, and 400. I mainly race in the 3200 and these spikes are prefect for that distance. They lack the aggressiveness of middle-distance spikes, so these would be best for any race 1600m and longer. These are essentially a competitor to the Nike Zoom Matumbo spikes, but from a value standpoint, these are so much better! I wouldn't suggest using them for anything but racing, as they have little support and no cushioning in order to decrease weight. At less than 3oz, these are practically weightless! I also like the way they look... You know what they say... When you look fast, you feel fast, then you are fast. If you're a long distance runner, get these spikes!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Cross Country *by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2013* I'm in ninth grade and run for my school's cross country team. My previous pair of spikes, Saucony's Shay XC2, were much heavier than these and did not give that much more padding than these do. These shoes, like most of the other Sauconys run about half a size too small, so just order a half or one size up from your tennis shoe size, that's something I've gotten used to doing. The shoes are very light and comfortable, yet there is plenty of padding for running on gravel and whatever other surfaces you're running on. The colors are a lot better than they look in the picture. The first time I wore these, I crushed my record for 5k. I'm looking forward to wearing these during the track season as well as for the rest of the cross country season. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars I do not recommend this product *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2017* I purchased this product well in advance of the track season based on the reviews posted so that it will not run out of stock. With the start of the track season, my son started using this pair of spikes for his 1600 and 3200 competition. When he first started wearing the spikes, the top shoe lace ring hole tore through on the right shoe of the pair. After two or three more meets, the top ring hole on the contralateral shoe tore through. This may have been a defective shoe. But if this is commonly encountered then the manufacturer needs to provide more support around the ring holes.
