Will this cable connect my Vizio smart tv to my close-by Comcast modem/router. I just want to stream on the tv.

As long as the TV has a network port (not just Wi-Fi)

Cable seems to be too big? Does not fit in router or computer

I paired this with a usb Ethernet adapter so it would fit my laptop hope this helps I also have a Wi-Fi extender do I can be hardwired without running a cable across my floor I hit everything from Amazon

Yes but if using a laptop u need an adapter that had usb and Ethernet compatibility
