Great nail clippers and would have given 5 stars but for the fact that because the cutting edge is imo overly curved you're in danger of cutting more than a nail, if the clippers had less of a curve and followed the contours of the nail they would be perfect. These clippers are very sharp and so long as you're careful they will work fine.

Best thing I've bought for ages. My hands are about as dextrous as hooves , due to arthritis and nerve damage caused by years of using chainsaws. Using nail clippers has been difficult because I can't grip them. This problem has been resolved due to the size of these clippers and most of all by the holes in the handles. The sharpness means hardly any pressure is needed.

Well designed and effective in taking the most hardened toe nails

I find nail clippers difficult and wanted one with a bigger opening. This fitted the bill perfectly and it didn’t disappoint. Easy to use and it comes in a neat bag with a file, all of which pop into a sleek black tin for tidy storage. As others have said, be careful as quite sharp, but I’ve been fine with them and find it no problem (no doubt saying that I’ll go cut myself next time)!!!! 🤣

Good clippers for thick nails BUT as the previous reviews have stated, they are ultra sharp. It’s difficult to know where the cutters are in relation to your nail and skin so it’s very easy to cut your skin by mistake! They’re lovely and sharp but a little scary to use…..

I had been encouraged by many of the positive reviews to give these clippers a try, having seen comments about how sharp they were, and seeing relatively few reviews showing broken springs (which seem to be the biggest complaint among reviewers of clippers). Based on what I saw, the spring on these clippers doesn't get compressed very far - even when the "jaws" are fully open and are therefore unlikely to break in most situations. My nails are very hard and potentially brittle, and I will normally only cut them after a shower, when they've had a chance to soften up in the water. To test these clippers, I decided to cut them without first soaking. I wanted to see whether they would crack/split and whether the pressure required to actually cut them would be too difficult to manage with one hand. My toenail, which is wider than the width of the blade, did split when I cut it. But, it split perpendicular to cutting line, and in the opposite direction of the cuticle towards the end of my toe). So, the toenail clipping came off immediately (normally, when my nails are soft, the nail will NOT come off until I reposition the clippers and finish the cross cut). Even though the nail clipping came off on its own, I still think I will maintain my routine of soaking first - no sense tempting fate and possibly have the nail split in an unpredictable manner. As far as safety, I can see how someone who keeps their toe in place and approaches the toe with a wide-open clipper jaw could accidentally catch some skin. However, if you bring the clipper slowly towards your nail and position the skin so it rests against the outside of the lower jaw of the clipper, you should be able to do a clean, safe cut. The final criticism of "open jaw" clippers is that they don't prevent nail clippings from flying all over. I did experience this with these clippers, and am thinking through how I might be able to solve this problem. So, a very strong endorsement of this clipper, as long as you take steps to keep your fingers and toes from getting pinched.

If you have a teenage son that has snaggle teeth for toenails, these are the toe nail clippers for you. My son has broke so many other nail clippers when clipping his toenails. These clippers are sturdy and get the cut done with ease.. As a professional nail technician, I would encourage you to buy these for use. They are sharp and the handle is ergonomically correct and make cutting toenails easier and with less strain on the fingers and wrists. These would be great for elderly people as well, they do not have to struggle to get way down close to their nails in order to get the job done. The clippers are a great value for the price and they come with a sturdy storage container and velvet bag for travel.
