The sleeve in the back of the pack to slide over your extended carry-on handle is very practical and clever. Your luggage stays together - one less item to keep track off, frees up your arms for other things. I can get it to fit under airline seats, but without room to spare. It is significantly heavier than canvas, as expected, but that is because the leather is quite thick, which mean that the backpack should be super durable (the stitching is heavy duty too), as long as the zippers hold out. And the zippers mean business--not the flimsy, light-gauge stuff I've had on cheaper backpacks, although even good zippers can go bad, so fingers crossed.
