Godinger Dublin Biscuit Barrel Storage Canister Jar

These canisters (actually more like English biscuit barrels) are very pretty and just what I needed to hold bath salts and bombs, They don’t look like high end crystal however, nor would I expect them to at this price. They are very heavy and thick-walled but are made in preconfigured molds of lead-free crystal so they don’t have the sparkle or the crisp edges of hand cut lead crystal. They are an excellent price and certainly nicer than glass canisters. I was having a hard time determining what they will hold based on the measurements given so I got out my kitchen measuring cups as I filled them to find out. The large canister holds 5 cups, the medium 3 cups, and the small 1 ¼ cups; if you’re putting something in that can be piled up and not spill out like bath bombs, you can do a bit more. Other than my use, they’re good for holding coffee, tea, and daily use sugar, pet/human treats, or other smaller items but they aren’t intended for use as kitchen canisters to hold large bags of flour and sugar, the largest won’t even hold a 2 lb bag of flour which is 7 ½ cups. The crystal for that would be so heavy you wouldn’t be able to lift it when full anyway.

I ordered this beautiful little set and was excited when they arrived BUT the larger one was broken, I was glad that I didn’t cut myself on the broken shards of crystal. The box was packaged in an Amazon paper bag! I contacted Amazon for a replacement because I really wanted this set. The second set arrived today in a paper bag and was, YES, broken in the paper bag. Who packages crystal in a paper bag instead of a well padded box?? As for the canister set, it is very beautiful and well worth the price. I am going to try again because I do WANT this item.

Perfect Size for my Biscotti! I have been looking for a nice container to give my coffee bar some polish with my biscotti. Love it and fits a package of 6 perfectly

Arrived broken! Looked like great sizes - the biggest is too small for a cookie jar, but a good size for lollies or sweets to feel fancy. Will be on the lookout for replacements.
