If the concrete slabs are 1 inch apart, will this work? I could not find any 1" being sold... Should the rope seal be the same width or smaller width?

You want to fit the gap. If the backer rod was too small I put in two rods of different sizes to fill the gap. Took some work to make it fit ok and look ok but once I put in the self leveling chalking it looked good. If there is a gap around the rods the chalk will seep down between. Not good. Could use a different chalk type but I liked the look of the self leveling after it dried.

Will this work between the tub and tile in the bathroom?

Can this be used to seal between facia boards and brick wall to keep bats out?

We used this to fill big cracks in our driveway and then used concrete sealer over that. I suppose you can use it for your purpose.
