Then, by how high the indicator rises, you can tell if the charge is still enough for your purpose. As the battery is used, with time you will see that the indicator rises less and less. **Q: is this 18 or 28 count?** A: The shipment was 28 count. **Q: Why are people leaving "comments" on marketing in the REVIEW section?** A: Because others want to know how things will work! **Q: These batteries are no longer manufactured. how did 21 supply obtain them? when will they expire? do you warranty them until then? including testers?** A: Can only partially answer your question. Duracell stopped manufacturing the Quantum batteries in late 2019. Probably because the cost of manufacturing the battery with the battery check feature was to costly and people were not buying them. Any quantum batteries out there are ones that were bought when Duracell announced (quietly) that they were being discontinued and now sell for a premium. The Quantum has been replaced by the Duracell Opitmum. ( no battery check strip). When I pulled some out last night I checked power and the first pack had almost full power, the second one had about half power, the third had less than that and the last one I checked showed no power. Duracell batteries last 10 years in storage but I think these are older than that.
