Steel or Aluminum Frame Entry Door Mortise Deadbolt Lock Set- Huge five-ply laminated steel bolt with concealed hardened steel pin provides maximum security. Designed for aluminum or steel framed storefront entry doors. Specifications: Backset: 31/32", 1-1/8" . Face Plate: Width - 1", Length - 6-7/8"Case Dimensions: Width - 7/8", Length - 6", Depth (specific to backset) - 1.63" through 1.78"Deadbolt: Width - 5/8", Throw - 1-3/8"Mortise Deadbolt Dimensions. Includes cylinder set screws, trim, and mounting screws. Note: If your lock cylinder is not threading in, try loosening the lock body mounting screws.

Review: Dimensions Request And Mounting Clips - I just ordered this lock however Im not sure if it is suitable for a 2" wide door. Also if you fit this in an hollow type Aluminum door will require mounting clips that fasten to the inside of the door that hold the lock body ? If so are they included? UPDATE: Lock arrived with no instructions or template. Tools required to install in a METAL DOOR are as follows: Grinder, metal grinding blade, Drill, multiple metal drill bits, metal file, metal hole cutting drill bit, multiple screw drivers, small level and a ton of patience. Without instructions or a template it is extremely difficult to figure out where to cut the holes for the lock cylinders and the hole for the hook lock. There is no room for error or the door is finished. This is a job for a professional that has done this before and knows what to do. As mentioned you need mounting clips for the lock body they dont come with the product. The lock itself was good functionally everything worked. My installation was in a 2 x 2 hollow aluminum tube for a sliding gate. Realizing it was beyond my skill set I hired a pro for $200 dollars and Im glad I did otherwise it would have been a complete disaster. youtube videos helped however when its your door and you are working in real time things can go sideways fast. HIRE A PRO!

**Q: Does it come with faceplate for opposite door? Or only 1 faceplate for lock side of door?**
A: It Does not come with a frame strike plate, storefront doors do not require one as they simply use a cutout in the frame.

**Q: Will this work on a wood door?**
A: These locks are designed to work with aluminum storefront doors. I suppose you could mortise one of these into a wooden door but it seems that would be a huge amount of work. Depending on the thickness of the wooden doors, the lock cylinders might be too short.

**Q: can I order this item with two thumb tabs instead of a key on one side??**
A: With two thumb turns, the door would never be secured.

**Q: Will this work on a wood door?**
A: No they are for storefront glass aluminum framed doors.

I just ordered this lock however Im not sure if it is suitable for a 2" wide door. Great product and easy install

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good enough for interior doors, wouldn't recommend for exterior doors.

I bought this on behalf of a store that was broken into as it was able to arrive the same day, and it works, however the lock cylinder that comes with this lockset is extremely cheaply made and has no security pins. It has very loose tolerances when compared to other lock cores that are available, which means this lock can be picked or bumped extremely easily. I ended up reusing the old cylinder from the broken lock this was replacing. The rest of this lockset is well made and the bolt is heavier than the original Adams Rite lock that it replaced. The finish matched exactly and the install is very easy. Please note that the key that comes with this lockset uses Kwikset depths cut onto a Schlage style key. This could be problematic if wishing to key other locks to the same key as this lock.
