The way light shimmers and dances off this glass is mesmerizing - it adds beautiful dimension to any fire pit. I think you will truly enjoy the pure beauty of this randomly "shattered" glass. It is the way it's broken that allows light to reflect in a way that appears to be almost magical. Just be aware that ten pounds is not much - if you have a medium to large fire pit, you will want to order multiple containers of this glass. This is my favorite glass because it is not only gorgeous but is reasonably priced (within the fire glass market) and arrives promptly. I would only recommend something to you if I would also recommend it to family and friends (I would) and would buy it again (I would.) Since one surface is mirrored, it throws the dancing flame beautifully - I don't think I can ever go back to the plain old glass after this. I work hard and want my backyard to feel a little luxurious. These were the perfect addition to my fire pit. The rocks looks a little golden when burning, but I like that glow. The glass reflects the light perfectly. I used 2 packs of fire rocks. My fire pit came with those brick colored lava rocks. I left a layer of lava rocks on the bottom and poured the fire rocks on top to make the pit look full. We have to move the rocks off the ring so the fire can get oxygen to light.
