As a mortally wounded Allen is recovered by the Asian Branch of the Black Order, Lenalee and her colleagues are forced to continue on to Japan without him. With the help of the newly arrived Miranda Lotto, the Exorcists and their allies are able to set sail without delay but their journey isn't without incident as they come under attack from a powerful Akuma. Meanwhile Allen is recovering with the help of the Asian Branch staff and they make a miraculous discovery about his Innocence. This seventh volume of the D.Gray-Man manga is another great instalment of the series. The volume has some nice moments of action and comedy throughout, and it also has some nicely emotional moments as well. It is good that Miranda Lotto has returned as she is one of my favourite characters from the series and the Asian Brach of the Black Order introduces some more interesting and eccentric characters. The artwork remains good and the plot involving Allen's Innocence is a good one. The volume includes the usual Q&A answered by the characters and also includes a little bonus comic strip about the author and his editor. Overall this was another entertaining volume of D.Gray-Man and while it probably doesn't quite manage a full five stars, I feel four and a half would be an appropriate rating.

I have been trying to find all volumes of this manga in English and preferably new which has been heavy on my wallet but I just can't leave the nostalgia I felt for it behind. So it was the only new copy they had left and had to buy it did come in unwrapped with a couple of scratches including one very deep one in the corner but besides that it's fine. I did take off a star since I want to collect these and want them in the best condition possible since I'm a perfectionist.
