This is literally the best packing tape on Earth.. prove me wrong! :) haha - A+++
I’ve found that the Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is a real game-changer for all my shipping and moving needs! Its super strong, solvent-free adhesive keeps boxes sealed tight, even when things get a bit rough. Whether I’m packing heavy stuff or sealing recycled boxes, this tape always does its job perfectly. Each roll gives you a whopping 54.6 yards of tape, and the 1.88-inch width means you get plenty of coverage without needing to cut multiple strips. Plus, it doesn’t snag, split, or tear easily, which makes packing a breeze and saves you time. And the clear design gives your packages a nice, professional look. The tape unwinds smoothly and comfortably fits right on standard 3-inch core dispensers, so you can apply it without any hassle. Plus, it works great with all kinds of boxes, even those made from recycled materials. The only thing I don't like about the tape is that it has a not-so-pleasant smell to it but considering this tape is so great in all other ways, I can deal with a little unpleasant smell when taping my boxes. So, in short, the Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is a reliable and top-notch product that always lives up to its name. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and effective packing tape!

Strong! Reliable! We finally found the right shipping tape!
If you have ordered some of the packing tapes I have in the past and were frustrated by thin, cheap, yellowish, barely sticks tape that has so much static electricity it just wants to stick to itself........ Feel Your Best And Be Calm Because You finally found the right one! This Scotch Heavy Duty is your tape too. It is thick and less likely to wrap back upon itself while your trying to tape a box. It is very secure when applied to almost any surface. The rolls are ample, as you get a good amount of tape on each roll. No cheating on the amount. When applied it is absolutely clear. Fits both my counter dispenser and my hand-held dispenser. I think the most important is the quality and strength of this shipping tape. We won't buy anything else now...done deal!

Will be a repeat buyer
I love scotch tape. It is strong tape for what I use it for. All my packages stay sealed and safe from automatically opening. The price is fair and cheapest that I could find.

This is the real tape, it just has an updated logo on the spools.
This is the good tape, it will stick to the boxes. It is pressure sensitive, so you do have to press it down. I have been taping boxes since the 1960's, when we had to wet the tape in a machine (or with a wet sponge at home), and even the wet glue REQUIRED pressure. None of the tape guns apply enough pressure to do anything but start the tape, it will not be firmly affixed until you apply pressure. The crappy tape still peels off, this tape pulls up the cardboard, once proper pressure and curing time occur. This IS the good tape! Is it less sticky than the tape from 15 years ago? Yes, but there is a reason... The old tape glue was slow to set, so it depended on being sticky, but that old glue had a short shelf life, and old tape no longer worked. Scotch improved the glue formula to make it have a longer shelf life. Remember when it was hard to get tape started, and often you had to repeat that over and over when the tape tore? That is because you had expired glue! This glue is easier to start, and it /will/ hold onto the cardboard after some pressure it applied, and a few minutes have passed for the adhesive surface to cure. If you want the old tape that was hard to use, you will have to find a cheap brand that has not updated glue. I pack heavy boxes, I use one strap of tape if it is a good box properly packed, and I do not tape edges.. I only go crazy with the tapf if it is a bad box, and it not being shipped. Also, if you are shipping, if you do it right this tape works... But if you leave loose edges of glue hanging out, then your box might peel itself open when you exposed glue meets another sticky surface or a box with exposed tape glue, and your box will peel itself open. I can't tell you how many time I received a box that had a poor tape bob open itself in the back of the mail truck. My mail person and I have a laugh over that from time to time. It is real, people.... All they did was update the logo. So scotch has been using color codes for years, and they finally made the color mark plaid to tie in with the scotch logo theme. The front label of the multi-pacs still has the blue "heavy duty" marking, but the rolls have the more current blue logo. I have been buying the tape for years, it is still the same tape. Why do they even make other kinds? Because office managers often want the easy-peel tape because they have inappropriate uses for the tape, or they don't want to chip a nail just to work with better tape. I used to deal with such an office manager, and while there I had to buy my own tape, and people shipping things knew to come to me.

The Best Packing Tape We've Found
Mother had a little business years ago, and she insisted on this stuff, even though it appears to cost more than other brands... until you compare the quality. Most of the cheap ones are flimsy thin and difficult to work with. Some may be thicker, like this, but then the adhesive is either not sticky enough, too sticky, or the smell gives you a headache. We've bought different brands probably 10 times over the years, and never found another one that was as good all around. It starts and dispenses well. It's not too thin and flimsy; so you only need one layer. It's sticky enough to do the job well, but not so sticky that any little mistake is a big problem. That brings up another point. It's perfect for shipping. Not as perfect for long term storage boxes. The Scotch tape that's made for storage boxes is less expensive, probably because it has a different kind of adhesive that's less expensive to produce. I forget exactly why we weren't as happy with it for shipping (it didn't work as well), but for storage, it is better. In extreme conditions (we're in Florida, so our extreme is the summer heat and humidity), the shipping tape is not as reliable for year after year in the garage. The storage tape adhesive is more permanent. We still use whatever we have on hand for storage boxes, and this shipping tape is pretty good at everything, but it turns out there's a good reason for all the different kinds of tape, and all the different adhesives they use - even if they look the same.

This packing tape is thick and rugged and great for moving heavy boxes. It stuck to used boxes really well and made me feel very secure that our boxes would stay in tact. We used a packing tape gun and there were difficulties and frustration at the beginning cutting the tape. Nevertheless, the struggle was worth it for the quality. I’ve used other tape before and this one is the best by far. Would recommend :)
