Buy Panasonic WhisperChoice 0.8-Sone 150-CFM White Bathroom Fan Energy Star: Ventilation Fans - desertcart.com โ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Powerful and Ultra-Quiet Bathroom Fan - The Panasonic WhisperChoice 0.8-Sone 150-CFM bathroom exhaust fan works great. Itโs extremely quiet and does an excellent job removing moisture from the bathroom. The built-in light is also bright and works very well. Overall, a high-quality fan that performs exactly as expected. Review: Really is Quiet! - I was pretty shocked at how quiet and powerful it really is. In hindsight, I don't know why we can't expect a good, quiet fan with modern technology from all fans. Anyway, this one works amazingly well for my huge master bathroom. Our big, double glass shower doors are too tall and trap a lot of steam in, but this fan prevents the ceiling from getting mildew going. The light is excellent as well. 2 big notes: 1. It takes a few seconds for the fan to ramp up after you turn it on. This is expected, but it's not documented very well if at all. 2. The install involves a clever frame that stretches from joist-to-joist. Your older, existing fan probably has a different layout. I got lucky that I was able to get it installed fine, but there was a big risk of cracking the drywall because of this new configuration.

Stop thinking about it and buy it
Redoing my master bath and figured a new fan was in order... I am BLOWN AWAY how far bath fans have come! This thing MOVES air, dont cheap out and neck down to 4 inch, use an insulated 6 inch duct. It is unbelievably quiet for how much air it moves, you can hardly tell its running. Great build quality. A little tricky to install on existing construction, I had to install the removable side piece with the vent/electrical in the attic first then slide the fan up into it from the bathroom. But well worth the struggle. Will be buying a second one soon for my other bathroom. Its less than a quarter as loud as my old one and moves probably 4 times as much air. Smells and steam are gone in under a minute instead of up to a half hour from my old one. No more lingering moisture in my bathroom! Keeps the mirror fog-free and my towels in the bathroom and closet smell fresh and not mildewy after sitting for a prolonged time.

Wow! Better Than Expected, Super Quiet and Powerful!!!! Easy to Install
Wow! This is SO quiet when I first powered it on for testing I thought it was defective, then I noticed the motor was turning but SO quietly! I have mine set to 150CFM and it does "ramp up" to that speed, and when it reaches 150CFM it is audible, but definitely not loud (even at 150CFM it's MUCH quieter than the 50CFM Broan/Nutone we had before). The LED is a bit "white" for a 3000K, but not too white. The bathroom I installed this in has had poor ventilation for years, the 50CFM Broan/Nutone was loud an inadequate for the size of the room. My bathroom mirror and windows were always foggy and the walls looked "wet" after taking a hot shower. For the first time in 8 years I just took my normal hot shower and NO foggy mirrors, windows or damp walls! Installation was easy, except Step 4 "Install circular exhaust duct" could be clearer. In this step you use the self-tapping screws to attach the adapter (holding the wiring and exhaust duct) to the bracket - but there are no words describing this, and the illustration is likewise unclear. I ended up installing this ABOVE the drywall ceiling, but discovered later it had to be BELOW the drywall ceiling (and flush with it). Also, the unit has a 6" duct but many homes have existing 4" ductwork - I wish Panasonic provided a properly sized adapter (I bought one knowing I'd have to reduce for existing ductwork, but I was afraid to crimp the duct on this unit because it has a flapper that opens into the duct when the fan is running and it's tight, I was afraid it would impede it or cause it to become stuck open and allow cold air in). Overall it was an easy install, much easier than I expected. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is an 11, couldn't be happier with it!

Quiet fan, bright light.
Great fan, bright light. I have the fan and light switched separately. The fan is very quiet. When you turn on the fan you hear nothing, it slowly ramps up after about 30 seconds or so and you hear it ever so slightly. It uses a 4" duct so it moves a large volume of air. Pleased with the purchase.

Great Bath Fan Upgrade
I replaced two-12 year old 4โ exhaust fans with these units with 6โ exhaust vents. I only had to modify the ceiling opening a bit either way. The collapsible frame made the install much easier and reduced my time up in the attic space. Iโve installed three similar Panasonic (low sone, high flow, 6โ exhaust fans), just no lights, at our other properties, so these were super easy to install. For this model, I did not wire the two light stages seperately, instead I only wired the fan light to the same circuit as the fan, but I like that there is the option to tri-wire everything separately in the future. Super happy with these high flow, ultra quiet and effective fans. The 700 lumens warm light is really bright too.

Powerful sucker
I installed this in my parents bathroom. It was so quiet and powerful I bought another and installed in my bathroom. My room used to fog up with the humidity from my old fan system. And it was loud. I did some research and found this. It clears out the fog in seconds. It keeps my windows and mirror clear and dry. My walls used to sweat too. Now it doesn't. It's so effective. Worth the money

The instructions are not user friendly, but if you figure them out itโs a great unit: quiet fan and brite white LED light!
