The quality of these pills are excellent, we look for this brand when we need them because they are very well put together and smaller than other brands

About a decade ago I went to see a Neurologist for what I can only describe as a "pins and needles, can't seem to sit still during a matinee seat" feeling! I'm not really certain what was the cause even though at the time, I mwas under a great deal of personal and professional stress and was diagnosed as having "mini panick attacks!" I was actually prescribed clonopin and the problem abated somewhat but the whole point of this little diatribe was that he asked me "are you taking Vitamin B 12 supplements? And oh yes, what about FOLIC ACID? Both of these are quite important in helping the synapses in your nervous system function correctly!" ETC., etc.! The first thing I did was google Folic acid function in the body and indeed it is not only quite important but essential, as is B12! They both aid in the transmission of electrical impulses with our neuro receptors. I also found out that a normal diet does not supply enough of either ESPECIALLY if your taking other medications for high blood pressure, pre and post diabetes and a whole host of others. So if you suffer from Fibromyalgia, diabetic nerve pain the aforementioned "pins and needles," I would highly recommend that you include these in your daily supplemental regimen. Of course consult your doctor but if he/she thinks its a good idea then by all means this FOLIC ACID is the best bang for your buck IMHO! I've ben using both since that day in my neuros office and I am certain it has made a difference!

Do you have nerve pain or nerve damage? Listen up! I am fused at 6 levels. I was doing g great getti gvmy Life back and then needed another surgery that was a nightmare. I woke up and couldn’t feel my leg. 2 years later and a revision surgery with no improvement in major atrophy and neurosurgeru deficit in my leg, the doctor discharged me without cause. I have been an EMT for over 20 years. I had been in physical therapy for over a year trying to regain some function of my leg and was talking to my therapist about vitamins/mineral Essential oil protocol and that I came across a study at the a hospital in the Midwest (and they use it to this day) that they give spinal cord and nerve injury patients high doses of Folic acid. 30-50mcg per LB. in my case, I started taking about 8000mcg a day divided into two doses along with B-12 and doubling my fish oil. After 7-8 months I started to notice small changes in my leg. Muscle function was slowly responding better to PT. Sensation on the edge of my “dead areas” was changing, I now have slight tingling, and occasionally feel deep pain sensation in the dead zone. My physical therapist said it makes sense. Pregnant women are encourage to take extra Folic acid to reduce nural tube defects in their fetus, so logically thinking, following a similar protocol for nerve damage should yield some benefit. So here I am 3 years from failed surgery and 8 months of using high dose of folic acid, B12 and fish oil and things are slowly changing in my leg. At this point, change is good. Do you have diabetic neuropathy? The VA doctors in Reno are starting to give vets a similar protocol of high dose Folic acid, fish oil, b12 and vitamin D. My dad was on this for 6 months and was just starting to notice his neuropathy in his feet not bothering as much. Unfortunately, he passed 2 months later from heart failure. You can google and scroll down deep and find studies published it NCIB or NIH to confirm this. Why this is not mainstream practice, I do not know. I confirmed with 2 of my doctors that the high dose if Folic acid is not detrimental to kidneys or liver. If you are suffering from nerve pain or have have nerve damage, definitely give high dose of Folic acid 6-8 months. You got nothing to lose, and if you like me, you will take any relief or small gains infunction that you can get.
