Printing this got off to a good start, but about an hour in, I heard the noise of my filament dry box colliding with the printer, followed by some grinding sounds. What I found is that the the filament was not wound correctly on the spool and bound up. It's hard to imaging how the spool got partly wound from the outside in; but most likely the winding maching was tensioned much too tightly and the middle layers cut in and worked their way into the center of the spool during winding, with later layers then being wound atop them. Unfortunately, the stuff is too springy to easily rewind; I'll probably have to heat it to near the softening point to accomplish it.

Prints fine, but the color is completely different than what is pictured. Not even close.

Have only used Dremel filament in my Dremel 3D printer (have over 1600 hours of runtime on the printer.) The new formula makes for handsome, strong, parts. The only minor downside is the spool doesn't set well on the 3D45's spindle. Have to square away the spool and then close the filament hatch. No breaks, no deformities, nice, even colors and layers. Happy customer!

I've been buying Dremel PLA for years and this new version shows that they've been listening to customer feedback. More filament per spool, better packaging (including a resealable bag with desiccant), no breakages so far, and good print quality. Fits the 3D40 perfectly. (Seems to print better using a higher nozzle temp than I'm used to with PLA - closer to 230 deg C)
