I have fibromyalgia and am always looking for things that will provide any help at all - for pain, for muscle issues, or for mental acuity to combat "fibrofog." I know that sometimes meds / supplements that help one person with fibromyalgia may not be effective for others, but this has been working for me. I am in my fourth week of taking this and I have already seen a difference (I generally do 6-week trials). My pain levels have been a little lower (every little bit matters!) and my tolerance of activity has improved (which I guess for normal people might translate into "more energy"). I have felt a little sharper mentally as well. Have not noticed any side effects. Recommended dose is two pills with a meal (or up to four with two meals). The capsules are not tiny - 7/8" long and a uniform 1/4" in diameter, which is why I've docked it a star - but they're not the biggest pills I've ever seen (or even currently take), either. I've been taking one with breakfast and two with dinner. Came back to re-order!

There are plenty of options finding Acetyl L-Carnitine out there, but who actually made the compound? I was using another brand that quietly dropped that they were using Biosint. That means it was made in some who-knows open market chem factory, most likely China, possibly India. Now that doesn't mean per se it is bad, but you have no trace. Biosint is a gold standard maker of this - and you know where it came from. Yes, they probably want more for it - and guess what, I will pay a little more for it. Quality over quantity here! But I will be watching... if Doctor's Best moves away from a premier producer, I will too from Doctor's Best.

I take three of these in the morning with breakfast and three with lunch and it keeps me chugging along all morning and afternoon, but without the crash like caffeine. Its a bit mild at times, but still more useful than being way up and then way down like caffeine.

This has been such a life saver for me. Diagnosed with MS this year and I take this along with Alpha Lopeic, and CoQ10. Helped with my challenging fatigue and spasticity.
