After checking this book out of the library, several times in the last year, I decided to order it. It’s fun to read how other people look at art. The book arrived early and was in great shape.

I was really excited about this book because I love the Frick and all of the collection. I was excited to feel alive during covid lock down. Unfortunately the stories were kind of boring and the photo reproductions were weird. The same pictures were repeated and the commentary wasn't even grouped together. Also, and I can't even believe I'm writing this, I didn't like the font and found it difficult to read.

I found the insights of the author to be perceptive, and have also found visits to the museums comforting over the years.
