**Q: Is this medication a little stronger that hydrocortizone .01% ?  Is it comparable toTriamcinolone Acetonide cream usp,0.1% ?**
A: The tube of Tricalm I have is more like a liquid than a creme or gel.  It is messy to use and I'm not that impressed with it.  The few times I've used it, it seems to have done the job and cleared up the itch, but frankly hydrocortizone creme would have done the same thing and it is less expensive and much easier to use.  I have never used Triamcinolone Acetonide so can't compare Tricalm to it.

**Q: The price line says " price:	$7.28 ($1.82 / fl oz)" for a 2-ounce bottle. $7.28/2 is not $1.82 per ounce. shouldn't this be fixed?**
A: Yes, you are correct.  The tough part is getting someone from Amazon to fix a listing.  I've submitted multiple corrections for them any they mostly go uncorrected.

**Q: Have you also tried the cream version?  Just wondered which one might be better, or easier to use, etc.**
A: I have not tried the cream. Seems like it might be better as the ointment is really runny. I'm not complaining though... This balm is nearly magical in its ability to take the itch away immediately! It's truly wonderful.

**Q: Are there any parabens in the ingredients?**
A: not that I know

This gel is the most effective balm for the idiopathic itching on my shoulders, upper arms, and thighs. I have no idea what causes these sudden, middle-of-the night bouts of insane itching—I only know what relieved it. It’s a bit watery and can squirt excessively as my sleepy, befuddled fingers fumble about to get some onto my fingers, but it seems they have improved the consistency and/or the dispensing cap recently. It still needs to be thicker or sold in either a pump (like hand sanitizer, since they are similar consistency) or as a roll-on, which would make it super convenient when one is fumbling about, half asleep, in the dark of night. I have 5-6 tubes all about my house and in every purse and bag because I’m afraid to have a fierce itchy attacking without a tube of TriCalm at hand. I love that it is steroid free. I relied on OTC steroid cream before TriCalm changed my life. It works faster and more reliably. I never leave home without it.
