Paragon Conquer - residual insecticide concentrate,16 FL.OZ by Conquer

This is the story of my active and heated war against a massive colony of leaf cutter ants on my property. When we purchased our house, we had high hopes for a lovely place to raise our children and plant various perennials and fruit trees. However, within weeks of living on the property, we discovered that a domestic threat had already claimed it as its own. The intruder was a ferocious and unrelenting colony of leaf-cutter ants. The previous owner, as well as both of my neighbors, had completely surrendered to this pest. There were dozens of colony openings within my property and in my neighbors' yards. With my dreams of a safe place for my children and my plants being threatened by this enemy, I decided to hire a "professional" pest control company. They charged me $120 just to pour some pellets around the openings, the same type of pellets you can purchase at the store for $15. The ants practically mocked me for this attempt. They came back with a vengeance and ravaged my trees. I tried every other insecticide I could find at the store, blowing more money than I'm comfortable disclosing. Nothing I tried was working. The losses to my trees were increasing constantly, and my budget could not sustain the strategies I was employing. I had practically given up until my wife complained about the ants killing the flowers she had spent so much time planting. It was personal now. I went back to doing more research and came across Conquer. I decided to give this one last hail mary attempt. On my first real offensive, I used a 2-gallon sprayer and sprayed the workers around the 5 openings I was able to find. The results were almost immediate. Within 2 hours, hundreds of little red bodies laid dead around the areas I had sprayed. This was my first real victory. But I had only won the battle, not the war. Within the next three days, there were already two new openings in other areas of my yard. This got me thinking, the percentage of ants on the surface is substantially smaller than the ants underground. And at the rate that these little buggers can reproduce, I will never make a dent in their colony by simply killing the surface workers. Reinvigorated by my recent victory, I decided a no-holds-barred tactic was necessary. They had broken the rules of engagement when they came after my wife's young and innocent flowers. So I would target their young and their home this time. I am now trying to nuke their colony with a funnel placed directly into every colony opening I find. I slowly pour the solution of Conquer and water into the colony opening and as long as the solution keeps draining into the hole, I keep pouring. I'm finally seeing results. There have been fewer and fewer openings within my property. The ants have changed up their tactics as well. They are retreating from inside my property to areas beyond my fence. I am still finding the remains of leaves from my trees on the ground from time to time. But I am now fully on the offensive, and I plan to chase these SOBs as far away from my property as possible. I've already asked my neighbors if I can pour Conquer on the colony openings in their yards. Since they are older, and they can see the fire in my eyes, they've complied. I've already purchased another bottle of Conquer. I plan on continuing my blitzkrieg for as long as it takes. They may have the numbers, but I have the resources and the will to prevail. I will protect my family, my trees, and my wife's flowers. Death to all leaf-cutter ants! Also, I sprayed this around my house when we started to have a cockroach problem last summer and it worked wonders. No more cockroaches.

This is the only insecticide I have found that takes care of leaf cutter ants! As a previous review suggested, I pour 1/4 to 1/2 of a gallon (dilluted) down each leaf cutter hole i find, using a funnel. Within hours, the holes are vacant and stay that way. Hopefully we can now grow fruit trees without these ants stripping all the leaves off!

Only one thing that I find really kills the harvester/cutter ants. Easy to mix up and use in a sprayer. Downside is the cost. I find it expensive especially being on a fixed income.

Acting quickly is important because this breed of ants will strip a tree of all leaves overnight. Over a three day period seven mounds appeared in my little 500 sq. ft. front yard. Each was about three times the size of a gopher mound. The ants started ripping leaves off my trees & plants at night Overnight, my canna plant leaves list silver dollar size chunks. A small 20 foot tall oak tree was shredded. I tried three different box store brands of ant bate that were advertised to work on leaf cutter ants. None of them worked. They didn't even slow them down. I tried Neem oil, 9% cleaning vinegar, diamateous earth and flooding. These things only slowed them down a little and pushed a few mounds over to my neighbors yard. However the ants returned to my yard every night to continue their work. This product wasn't overly stinky and it's effective for termites and carpenter ants as well. It doesn't require any special storage environment and will last a good while sitting on a shelf.

Had kitchen gnats. Tried home remedies, other products, nothing worked to get rid of the gnats. Purchased this product from Amazon. Added one drop to a quart sprayer of water. Sprayed along kitchen floor rails. Bugs gone in two days. Very little smell. .

Disclosure: This was used as a last resort after multiple treatments with diatomaceous earth, Ortho Home Perimeter Defense, Cutter and Malathion. After moving into a renovated home, we found the yard (and foundation) to be infested with fleas. We began the constant battle to eliminate them. Living by a creek made this war even more difficult due to critters dropping off their little friends constantly. So, two years later, we still had them in the backyard. I researched Conquer, seeing it mentioned by professionals, and was surprised to find it here. I found it very easy to use in my 5-gal hand sprayer. It is also much more concentrated than store pesticides, so the cost is actually LOWER per use. Two days after spraying along the perimeter and in the landscaping grass and mulch around the yard, I did not have any fleas on my ankles - and I could have 20 on me in minutes! I meant to spray again three weeks later, but forgot. It has now been two months since I last sprayed and I still have not had a single flea appear on my legs. Whether or not Conquer was the beneficiary of being the last in a series of treatments using every other pesticide, I will use nothing else going forward. No more messing around.
