    Great value, comprehensive basic kit

This appeared to be a fairly comprehensive kit, and upon receiving the product, I'm quite satisfied with the value and general quality. Each item is suited for emergency situations (e.g. the flashlight is LED & can be used as flashing red emergency signal light or regular flashlight, and automatically turns on when submerged in water). The first aid kit is neatly packed in its own nylon case. The gloves included have leather reinforcements, which would come in handy if you need to lift something or clean up debris. The multi-use Swiss army style knife is very much a MIC army knife, and I'm not sure if I trust it to cut anything - but it can be useful as a bottle opener.The backpack seems to be sturdy and the shoulder straps are padded, which is important since the pack becomes quite heavy (we also added a crank radio, portable insulation tent and some gluten-free food, as I'm celiac & can't ingest wheat in the food ration). The only thing I wish it had is a belt around the waist to support that weight, but at this price point with so many things inside, I cannot complain. All in all, very good purchase!
