I bought 2 x 5000w units when I came from the USA to Europe. Why? Because I thought, oh lemme buy that 40" flat screen Samsung at Walmart on sale for $350 because I thought the equivalent would cost a lot more in Europe. Nope, yes maybe a little more than Walmart, but after you factor in the transformer and the sheer ugliness of it (and you cant/shouldn't hide it inside of something else because it makes heat and needs air) where are you? First of all, appliances don't last forever and they have to be replaced eventually. This Transformer max rating is 500 watts.
