STERILITE 10438004 Touch Can, White, 7.5 Gallon

It’s a garbage pail. It was inexpensive. What else can I ask for? One comment: it doesn’t work well if it’s going to go into a cabinet or under the sink. It’s a pain to open the lid. But, if it’s going to be out in the open, it works the way a garbage pail should.

This container is perfect for your recyclable plastic bottles. It’s compact enough that it will fit in many spots in your kitchen. It’s easy to open and close, it’s sturdy and very easy to keep clean. It’s a plain white color and an excellent value.

The waste paper basket I had in my bathroom was very small and had no cover. It filled up very quickly and when I it got to the top my dog would pull out all the tissues and shred them. Now with the cover, she can’t do that. Plus with the larger size, I don’t have to empty it as often. The touch cover is very easy to open.

We needed a dog-proof trash can for our bathroom. We tried two other “dog-proof” can, but our very smart standard poodle was able to figure them out. This one you need opposable thumbs for - she can’t just boop it open with her nose or paw! It’s a little bigger than I prefer for the bathroom, but it’s better than shredded trash all over the floor.

It's a basic sterilite can. It works well to keep the dogs out of the trash. The lock/release mechanism is plastic and longevity might be questionable, but is what one should expect at this price. EDIT: I use it in the restroom where it isn't constantly opened and closed and have seen no issues with the locking mechanism.

This trash can is worthless. I bought it about six months ago and the top has been a problem almost from the start. It would not stay shut unless I pounded it. Sometimes pounding on one side worked. Sometimes it had to be the other side. Then it became a two handed job and now it almost never will stay shut. I it on a slider that goes under the counter so when the top pops open after I have slid it it in (all the time) I have to reach under the cabinet, tip it on its side and tug it out then reset it. Do not buy it unless you have the patience of a saint.

Just as a safeguard to keep my dogs out of them, control any odor and look better than an open can.

I use this under my kitchen sink and it fits perfectly. I also am amazed at how spacious this trash can feels. I had a full sized trash can prior to putting this one under the sink on a slider, and I was worried that going from 13 gallons to 7.5 gallons with three kids would be hard. But due to the trash can being wider than the 13 gallon one we previously had, this one feels more spacious and like it can hold just as much trash as the old one. I'm very happy with the quality, studiness, and value for money!

Loved it and then bought another one!
