what is the shelf life of the dual pupose creme, and how do I know if mine is too old?

The manufacturer says the shelf life is 18 months. It can also freeze well and the condensation can be blotted off.

Has anyone noticed a difference in the consistency of what comes in the gallons v. the tubes?

No I have not noticed the difference. I buy the large container and then add it to my tubes. Love this product and have used it for over 17 years.

If you mean, would it dissolve latex gloves, I don't know, but I doubt it. If you mean, does it spread easily with latex gloves, I'm sure it would, although I wouldn't want a massage by someone wearing them. It is water soluble and totally non-greasy. Hope that helps.
