Game changer for bowl turning. These are awesome scrapers. I reshaped the profile a little bit to my preference. The M2 holds a great edge and these things are hefty especially the larger one which is important with these types of tools as the can tend to vibrate. The handles are very comfortable and a good length.

At half the price of quality chisels, and based on other reviews I thought I would give them a go. I was only buying round side scrapers so figured they didn’t need to be high end. Like others have said, they’re coated with heavy lacquer. I couldn’t find my acetone, so I just started using them with the lacquer still on them. Haha, worked fine, it comes off anyway.

Great scrapers. The original grind was a little rough, but it's always a good idea to sharpen a new tool right away anyway. The cutting surface can get pretty aggressive, it takes a little getting used to. I made to belt of my lathe slip a few times. Good steel, keeps an edge for a reasonable amount of time, easy to sharpen. Nice handles too, long for you when you need it but still comfortable to hold closer to the tool rest for when you need control doing fine scraping.
