Needed a big platter for one thing - Pommes Anna Potatoes. One of my favorite ways to make potatoes these days. If you don't know what Pommes Anna Potatoes are, check out the YouTube videos. I needed the big platter to match up with the Cuisinart 722-36H Chef's Classic 14-Inch stainless steel skillet that I cook the potatoes in. I need the big skillet and platter because a small batch isn't enough for my ravenous family. No, they don't fit in the dishwasher, unless you lay them flat, so hand washing is necessary. But I hand wash the skillet anyway, so one more platter ain't nothin'. The platters are on the thin side so you don't want to bang them around, but sturdy enough for what they'll be used for. I remember back in my small-town Iowa days where one of the pot-luck ladies had stainless platters that were like 1/4" thick. Would love to find some of those somewhere. But, these will do.

I use the larger one to hold assortment of decorative candles… very pretty. The smaller one I put by my stove with for various cooking seasonings I use most frequently. Looks nice on my counter.

The smaller silver tray was great. The larger one; however, was dented. I returned them for this reason. That's too bad, because otherwise it would be a great serving set.

This item was not silver. It was gold. I wanted silver to match things in my kitchen

Elegant, easy to maintain, light but still sturdy.

This is not stainless steel. I've had this tray for less than a week. I washed with a sponge and soapy water and dried immediately. Patches of the coating are coming off and the metal underneath tarnished/rusting.
