No. You can spin the propeller with your finger but this toy has no batteries. My son loves this toy and takes it in the bathtub all the time.

Hello! Need help. When people say they are “opening” the submarine to air dry and you saying the top hatch or submarine becomes two pieces? How?

When the blue hatch is pulled up in front, the hatch comes up to show an opening to the inside of the ship. The back piece of the handle stays attached. Then to close it you snap the front down again. Fun!

Does it have blocked holes or not? I don't want one with blocked holes!

The holes aren’t blocked on my kids submarine. It will spill water if you lift it out of the tub after being submerged.
