Dont think this one matches up to Julia Donaldson’s other well loved books like the gruffalo, zog and snail and the whale. I don’t like that the teacher is shown as being sort of mean and not understanding.

Very interesting read..my 8 year old daughter loved it...inculcates good reading habits....illustrations are also very impressive.

Great wee book for my 6 year old grandson to read along with .

My son is in Grade 2 and this was right up his alley! He enjoyed the stories and Finlay and was getting into the concept of reading in chapters. I bought this book for casual reading at home during the holidays. The stories are a good level for him, not so hard but a few new words here and there. Great illustrations and great continuity with the characters. I'll certainly be buying more.
