What is the purpose of the steel pins protruding from the bottom surface?

Those are precision setting pins to fit the tool exchange jig so that the clamp does not wobble sideways. My jig is homemade so I removed the pins.They worked fine without the pins

These fit the Radecal range of ATC routers with no problem and are a lot cheaper then buying direct.
