It mounts up well to my trailer's 2" ball hitch, and only the key or a violent act of aggression will part it from my trailer. The lock feels positive and secure such as it is. If someone wants it, they're going to get it, but without spending a lot of cash, this is a good option. I use other security measures in addition to this that tell a would be perp, "this is probably too big a PITA to mess with." A schpritz of weinerschleider in the keyhole should keep it functioning nominally throughout the nasty seasons. The metal bar is getting rusty after 2 weeks of sitting out on the trailer. I do live on the coast so things rust a lot faster but still. Ill have to replace it after a few months due to the bad quality craftsmanship. It will deter someone just by the look of it is the only reason im giving it 2 stars and not 1. ### ⭐ Questionable quality *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2019* After I put this on my trailer hitch it seemed to be working as described. I tried to take it off to move the trailer and the lock would not open. I tried every thing I could, WD40, liquid wrench, etc. and to lock would not budge. I was about to try to smash it off and gave it one more try, the lock opened. I got it off of the trailer hitch and tried to lock again is it will not open again.
