I journal A LOT, and I have tried a lot of different brands. I also love to be creative in my journal by using markers and paint and pens with juicy ink. Many of my journals have not held up well to that sort of love, but this one does a fantastic job. I love the beautiful, thick pages, and they're great for the paintings I like to do with my nature journaling (I use watercolor and the paper does warp a bit, but that doesn't bother me. And I do have to be careful not to put toooooo much water down, but it handles the water surprisingly well for not being watercolor paper. I haven't tried gouache, but I suspect it would do just fine.) The pens I use don't bleed or ghost through at all, and when I tested a sharpie just out of curiosity, it only created a tiny bit of ghosting. I also love the cover design, and having three bookmarks is so handy. I use one to mark the beginning of each month, one to mark my weekly schedule, and one to keep track of where I am on a daily basis. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it has numbered, non-perforated pages. My one complaint is that I need another page or two in the lined index at the front. Otherwise, this journal is perfect. It comes in a beautiful box that would make it perfect for gifting, or save the box for storing stickers and other journaling supplies. Get this journal. You won't regret it.

This journal is very good quality. Hard cover, very pretty floral pattern on the cover. The paper is high quality and very thick. There’s a key page in the front & 3 index pages to use. There’s 2 blank pen test pages in the back and 2 blank plane pages. It also comes with 3 sheets of stickers: 2 functions and 1 floral shapes. 1 pen loop and stretch band very well attached. The front cover has the word ‘notebook’ written on it. I purchased the’leaf pattern’ . I highly, highly recommend this journal. Price point is a little high but worth it based on quality and what you get for your money.

I fell off the bullet journal bandwagon in 2020 (who didn't?), so I tried to avoid a pricey journal for 2021. Loving the aesthetic and quality of Archer & Olive, I started looking for comparable notebooks. Here is a comparison between this notebook and A&O: -Grid: Both have a .5 dot grid. This notebook is 27 dots wide and 40 dots long. A&O is 27 dots wide and 39 dots long. I prefer this notebook, as there is an extra dot in length and more margin around the dots along the edges of the page. See pictures for comparison. -Size: Both notebooks are A5. This notebook is slightly taller, to make up for the extra dot in length. They have the same width. You can see this size difference in my pictures. -Page color: Both notebooks feature white paper. A&O’s pages are slightly creamier with blue-grey dots, while this notebook has slightly whiter paper with monotone grey dots. The difference is barely discernible. -Thickness: Obviously, this notebook is thicker. It has 40 more pages than A&O. I do not love the index and key pages (4 total) that make up the entry to this notebook. -Cover: The A&O journal is made with a smooth vegan “leather”, while this notebook has a paperboard cover that is slightly slippery. I don’t mind the difference, but good to note. The “NOTEBOOK” title on this notebook is also embossed gold—looks pretty nice! -Packaging: This notebook comes in a cute box, like most (but not all A&O). The box pattern did not match the cover style I ordered, which was a slight bummer. Still cute though. I guess the extra stickers made up for it! Cost: At time of purchase, this notebook was about $25 and the comparable Archer and Olive notebook is $32. An $8 difference, but Amazon has much faster shipping. Overall: I would buy this again as an A&O dupe. The internal quality is the same. If I ever want a slightly more high-quality cover, I might purchase the A&O notebooks. The faster shipping method pulls this notebook slightly ahead.

If you’re in doubt, get this one! It’s more than you thought to ask—super thick paper, perfectly aligned dots, and no bleeds. All my really important stuff goes here. I shopped all the others (and tried a bunch), but this is the best! I’m not getting paid or product or anything for this. It’s just my true review because they asked. Total 5 stars!
