Earvolution Original Putty Buddies Swim Earplugs, Moldable, 3 Pair Pack

Tried several putty-style earplugs before this one after our kid kept getting ear infections from swim lessons, wanted something that actually sealed properly instead of the moldable putty that never quite held shape long enough. Sealing is where these beat everything else we tried, molds easily to the shape of the ear canal and actually stays sealed through a full swim session rather than loosening halfway through. Fit works well for kids specifically, small enough to shape into little ears without needing to stretch or force too much putty in. Suitable for swimming is the whole point and they deliver, no water getting through even with your head fully submerged doing laps or diving for toys at the bottom of the pool. Comfort has been good too, no complaints of pressure or irritation after wearing them a full hour or more in the water. Stickiness is manageable, tacky enough to hold its shape and stay put but doesn't leave residue stuck in the ear or hair afterward. Appearance is simple, comes in a couple color options so it's easy to tell whose pair is whose between siblings. After trying several other brands that didn't seal reliably, these are the first ones that actually worked as advertised for swimming.

I purchased these for my daughter who has ear tubes and they work great! They are easy to get in even with a squirmy 3 year old. She doesn't seem to mind them/I think they are comfortable because she has never tried to touch them or take them out. Her ears seem to be very dry post use so I'm confident in how they work. We are able to use each set several times before they start losing their stick. We went through one pack on a week long vacation (with constant swimming and in/out). The sand at the beach did stick to these otherwise we could have made them last longer. I am an audiologist so I'm picky with earplugs and I'm comparing these to custom earplugs (which I make and sell to my patients and have made for my daughter as well). This is a better option than custom earplugs for kids because they grow out of the custom ones way too quickly. I recommend these to my patients frequently!

Nice and works fairly well, just wish they gave a little,case for each color. They are not uncomfortable but sort of hard to get in my ear so no water gets in. The colors are pretty and I would use them again

Nine months ago my family and I joined our local YMCA. Since we joined I have been swimming fairly regularly. I swim at least a mile (about 35-40 minutes) five days a week. In the beginning I had no problems with my ears, but after three months I got swimmers ear / ear infection in both ears and it lasted for over a month (because as soon as I would start to feel better I would get right back into the pool and worsen the situation). I realized that I needed ear plugs. After a lot of research for not just home remedies for the pain, but how to prevent it in the future, I knew that I didn't want a traditional generic, plastic ear plug for fear of trapping water in. Because this product was developed by an ENT doctor I tried it. I love them. I use them with the ear bandit, under my swim cap. Before I bought this system I was a little worried how it would fit my head, and fit under my cap. I have the LARGE bandit (I am an adult woman) and it fits ok, might be a little big. But my swim cap just molds the whole thing together. Honestly some days it takes me a few tries to get a perfect "seal" with the putty because once I get in the pool and swim a few laps everything is wet and its harder to fix. I also always get little bits stuck around my ear (and sometimes in my hair). There are also spots on the ear band it where it makes contact that will forever have a pile of built-up putty. I have noticed that different colors last longer (they tend to stay "together" more) the BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW pack (in that order) are from longest to shortest life. and the PURPLE PINK BLUE, i've only used the pink so far. In summary: I have not had any swimmers ear or ear infections since I started using the PuttyBuddies with the ear bandit five months ago. I wear it with a swim cap, so I don't know how well it works with out one, but it fits great under a swim cap. I am an adult, and my kids don't swim enough for me to have tested it with them. Even though you have to keep buying the putty-buddies as they wear out, and they get stuck in endearing spots, I highly recommend them.

These malleable and mulled well and give good seal, however, they break apart easier than ones I’ve used in the past. Leaving little bits of the ear plug behind.

My daughter loves these. They are so much better than traditional ear plugs. She suffers from ear infections but loves swimming. These work so well to prevent water from getting in her ears, are comfortable and fit well. The only tricky thing is removing the putty without it attaching to her hair but found if you push gently from behind the ear they pop out more easily. Great little pot for taking them to and from swimming. Multiple use too so good value. Will definitely use these again.

These mold exactly to the child's ear and keeps water out during swimming. They cause no discomfort either and stay in the ear the whole time. Easy to remove and refashion if required. Comes with a handy case to keep dry when not in use.
