It looks like a Mug, but it identifies as a French Press.

I see its a unisex french press but was it raised caged free?

Some West African unisex French presses have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single-sex environent.

where is it made? What country?

I am looking for coffee press made in any other country except for China. I was trying to buy this but it is made in China so I will pass it. Please anyone tell me which coffee press is made in USA. I don't want to buy any products made in China. I would rather pay more if it is not made in China.

I've owned one in the past, but the screen-plunger thing was so loose, grounds just went up around the sides. Have they fixed this issue?

If you grind the coffee beans really course as per instructions, you will not get grounds. Used it a dozen times with no grounds. Can't use store bought grounded coffee. I lightly, and i mean lightly, push out the ends of the plunger after cleaning, you will get a good seal for the grounds.
