Serious rucksack for serious hikers
Needed a new rucksack for a Kili expedition, and I was very picky. After a lot of research and visits, I settled on the Osprey Talon and was not disappointed. Very comfortable, easily adjusted, and lightweight, all essential to serious hikes. My only complaint is that the cords and straps are a bit “stringy” if that makes sense in that they snag on things instead of being tight and flush to the rucksack like other brands. But all in all, there is no better brand than Osprey when you need to pack your life with you for an adventure. Made a successful summit, now on to the next adventure!

Brilliant hiking bag
Osprey are by far better backpacks than any others I've tried. I bought this for my partner, and he loves it. Really comfy even with the pack filled, and enough back ventilation. One of the best things about the osprey hiking packs is the walking pole attachment: you can access and put away the poles without taking the pack off, but they stay completely out of your way while hiking. This size fits well with the 2.5L osprey hydration bladder, and I'm sure it'd for the 3L as well. Will never buy another brand hiking or biking bag!

Very good day sack and very light weight
Really impressed after a couple of uses in hot weather, very useful features like the stretch pockets for drinks on the side and the stretch pocket on the back. Very comfortable to wear although it does help to keep your back from sweating it’s not as good as the ones that sit off your back completely.

Great overnight pack.
Great size pack for an overnight bivy camp. Very comfortable as long as you don't overload it. I wouldn't want to carry any more than 10kgs in the 33 litre size.

A well designed day bag
I just used this bag on a 120 km walk to Santiago de Compostela. Worked perfectly, holds shower proof top, light fleece, 2 liters of water, lunch, camera, sunglasses and first aid kit. Felt really comfortable, although various hanging straps can rub against your arms if not tucked away. Perfect bag for a day walker not carrying full camping kit.

A perfect all rounder!
From hiking up England’s highest mountain in wind and rain to taking on North Africas highest mountain in blistering heat and cold tough snow and even as a day sack for small hikes and kit bag for the odd tough mudder. This bag has survived all sorts and continues to impress.I’ve had this for 2 years now and it’s still going strong. 5* all round.

Great pack shame about the water storage
Fantastic pack, good size, good top pockets inside and out. The front mesh pocket is easy to get to and has it's own catch to secure jackets or gloves within. Im 6ft 2 and the velcro adjustment to the shoulder harnesses is genious and the main reason i bout this - it fitted great and sat on my hips perfect. My reason to score this down is my own experience with the pack. 1st of 2 issues I have is the side pockets, there is only 1 mesh pocket either side, no zipped sections to keeps snacks or gloves, phone or hats secure and out of the weather. The only section to keep items out of the rain without putting on the rain cover is use the main compartment. My second and main issue is the water bladder section, to be blunt it's hopeless. I like a 3 litre bladder and it can't be slid inplace without emptying everything from the pack. I thought I would try a 1.5ltr bladder and it was no different, the opening for the bladder is stitched so tight they won't go in a pack with anything in it, even if it's empty it's a struggle getting them in.In short if you don't use bladders this is a great pack but if you do i would really think about an alternative

Great product.
It was perfect for our trip to Spain and Portugal. I am planning to buy another one.
User
Durable and almost perfect.
Been looking for a backpack that checks a bunch of things in my list. Midsize, perfect for a day's hike, very light, has multiple pockets, the side pocket is a little small for my water bottle but apart from that I don't have any complaints. You can't go wrong with this.

A very comfortable bag
The size of the bag is suitable for a day trip or days. The back system is very comfortable. The organization of the bag is very convenient.

Osprey Talon 33
I own the Talon 22 and the 33. I like both of them. I'm thinking about picking up the Talon 11 for use as a day pack for back and forth to work. My son uses the 22 at university to tote his books and essentials while he is on campus. He loves the 22 so I doubt that I'll get it back. I use the 33 as a bug out bag. It's big enough to hold my rain jacket, rain pants, heavy coat, fire starting kit, a couple of flashlights, survival knife, hatchet, small shovel, tent, first aid kit and enough food for a couple of nights. The top zipper pocket holds my Trayvax wallet, keys, and cellphone. The mesh stuffit pocket on the front of the pack can be used for whatever you want. I usually keep snacks or gloves maybe a light jacket in the front mesh pocket. The Talon 33 is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. There are no hotspots that I notice while I'm wearing the 33. My one minor complaint would be that the sternum strap could be placed a little further down instead of up so high. The Talon series is my favorite of the Osprey line. All of the Talon's are very versatile, and can be used for rock climbing, camping, school, day hiking, mountain biking etc.... I guess the Talon 11 will be my next purchase from Osprey. If you are looking for a pack that can do it all then check out the Talon series by Osprey.
