I own a set of 2 inch pistons that I have gotten very comfortable with, so I figured that I would give the Power Pistons a shot. Wow..I am humbled to say the least. These things are huge and at this point I can only manage 2 bodyweight pull ups with them. These things are without a doubt, the most difficult grips that I own (even more difficult than my 3 inch. rotating handles). I have my work cut out for me. I plan on using these first for one handed lat pull downs and then I will transition to negative pull ups, as I get more acclimated. Should have gotten a smaller size. I can use them, but not for the amount of reps of pull ups I want to do. I'm afraid to get the smaller ones, not sure about how it would handle my weight because I ordered the Escape climbing balls and one of them got loose on the bolt. I weigh 215. I'm very picky about quality and these exceeded my expectations. In the past I've owned smaller diameter, coated steel piston / nunchuck type grips from Rogue. I'm finding the natural hard-wood to be a beautiful and superior gripping surface at roughly half the price. I'm still searching for an affordable carabiner with a gate large enough to accept my pull-up bar and a diameter that will pass through the eye screw, but until then these guys will permanently remain on simple rope loops.P.S.
