I’ve lived for eight months in a hotel with an extremely heavy bathroom door accessing a tiny bathroom. The door is awkward and I often swore at it because it always seemed to be in the way and sometimes seemed to actively hate me by attacking my feet. The door is now under my thumb, thanks to this purchase which has basically eliminated the problem! This doorstop is simple and effective. If form truly follows function, it’s a beauty. Otherwise, it isn’t beautiful but it is making my life easier and I expect it will outlast me. (I’m old.) I’m sure if I went to a major hardware store, I could find doorstops. I couldn’t find them, though, in grocery and drug stores. So, Amazon might be a good place to get a doorstop. Tip: When I’m not living in a hotel, my doorstops are antique cast iron ones purchased on eBay, where you will have a fun selection of same. Those doorstops do know how to take out an unsuspecting toe or two but they keep doors open with a lot more style.

I have purchased so many doorstops for my office door. None can hold a candle to this one. It grips the carpet so the door stays put. As in the stopper doesn't slide like so many others I have bought in the last year. The small size is appreciated. The muted gray color is appreciated. The sturdiness is appreciated. I will buy more if needed. Great quality! Highly recommend.

I bought this to replace the 20 lb bag of grout that was used to hold an interior door in my apt building hallway. I think it's a fire door but I gave up trying to keep it closed after a year. I could have thrown away the grout but I'm sure something even heavier would have replaced it. The people here are ridiculous, or maybe I'm just not used to apt living. Anyway - the doir is heavy and this stopper works very well. It also fits in with the grungy hallway vibe.

We recently removed carpet from my mother's bathroom. She needs to have the propped open so she can easily enter with her walker. I thought that this door stop would do the trick since there is a large gap between the floor and door. This Big Foot was not tall enough so I placed it between the door and jam and this does help but it does not allow door to be opened wide. The product is nice and the fact that it be did not suit my need was my error and not due to the product. So be sure to measure before you purchase this.

Exactly what I needed, for a great price, and shipped quickly. I'm using it for a big heavy door at the school where I teach (someone walked off with the other one... What a random thing to steal -??) so it's fine for most doors, I imagine.

It's small. It's short. It does it's job. There's not a lot to say about a door stop, but I will try. I have used this on tile as well as carpet. Both of these work fabulously. I can definitely see where some door designs/heights could have issues on tile or wood floors. Using this doorstop on my tile floor is not near as secure as carpet, but still works perfectly fine. This thing isn't intended to be a theft deterrent; just hold a door open.......or closed, or somewhere in the middle. With these expectations, it works as intended.

This may be a good door stopper for a regular door, but not for a classroom door that is on a door that automatically closes. This stopper just slid with the door as it closed on a linoleum floor.

This product has no problem keeping open a heavy door with an automatic door closer, I am very happy I went with this brand.
