**Q: What direction should the current pot be turned please? the voltage pot is cw as i have found but do not have a way of measuring current.**
A: More current should be clockwise.
The way I would set this up would be to power the PSU up without connecting the load to it.
Measure the output voltage and set it to the required voltage.
Once that has been done then connect the load device and measure the output voltage.
If the voltage has dropped then the overcurrent circuit has activated so the current pot should be rotated clockwise until the output voltage has risen to the set amount and is stable. If nothing happens then rotate the current pot the other way and see what happens to the output voltage.

**Q: can we connect the input direct to a solar panel and out put 19v to a laptop directly.**
A: In principle yes. You would need to supply the module with say 12 volts but not connect the output to your laptop. Then set the output voltage to what you need..19 volts. However the solar panel would need to be able to supply the power your laptop needs. Say your laptop draws 19 volts at 3 amps. That is 57 Watts. The converter uses a bit, say 5 Watts. So your solar panel would need to be able to supply 62 Watts minimum. If the solar panel output on load is roughly 12 volts that would be a supply current to the module of a bit over 5 amps. Remember too that it is a boost converter so if the solar panel voltage were to rise above 19 volts so would the module output which may cause damage to the laptop. Personally I would use a solar panel to charge a 12 volt battery via a suitable regulator and use the 12 volt battery to run this module. Don't forget to fit fuses to protect against fires if things fail...running the module directly from a solar panel could be done but I wouldn't advise it in case the laptop gets damaged.

**Q: Can you connect the outputs of these in series circuit? trying to boost pv voltage before going to mppt, thanks**
A: No. The ground of the input is directly connected to the ground of the output making series connection impossible

**Q: Why does the current draw continue to rise when powering a 12v lamp please.**
A: If you are using these with a battery then the input current draw will increase as the battery voltage drops to maintain the constant output voltage of 12V. For instance if your lamp is rated 0.5A at 12V then this is 6W of power. If the battery voltage say starts at 8V then the input current to the module will be 0.75A (plus the operating current of the module) 8Volts x 0.75Amp = 6Watts. If the battery voltage drops to 6V then the input current to the module will be 1A (1A x 6V = 6W). The module always attempts to keep the output voltage at the same level irrespective of the current drawn (within the limits of the power handling of the module 0-12Amps). As the battery voltage drops the current increases to maintain the same effective power output. As far as I am aware this in not a constant current device in the sense that it will force a constant output current through something by adjusting the voltage (like a NiMH battery charger).  I think the 2nd pot is used to adjust the limit for the maximum output current available. If this current is exceeded then the voltage will be reduced to limit the current.
