This 16-1/2in square ruler from Creative Grids is a great size for working on larger blocks, T-shirt quilts, and for squaring up quilt corners.

Review: Great Square Up Ruler - I have lots of rulers. A good ruler is an investment. I had 14" cut size LeMoyne Stars on point that I did not have a large enough trim up ruler for. This block required proper alignment that can only be achieved with a square up ruler. I elected to buy this size. I doubt that I will ever try to wrangle a larger block than 16" (and this will get you there). If you are making large block sizes, you might want to consider 20" square up. This ruler allowed me to square my blocks up confidently and accurately. It is a good value for the amount of use that you will get out of it and the quality and ease of use/reading.

I hesitated to spend money on yet another ruler, but I’m happy that I did. Makes squaring up a 16.5” quilt block a lot easier.. i do wish that desertcart would put some packing around rulers when they send them. The corners are easily chipped off, which I had read on other reviews as a problem. Mine was banging around in an empty carton, but I was just lucky that there was no damage.

I have lots of rulers. A good ruler is an investment. I had 14" cut size LeMoyne Stars on point that I did not have a large enough trim up ruler for.
