As a home DIYer, that would be absurd; but a $39 tool that works perfectly for occasional use makes more sense. I used this kit to install new 2 inch and 1.5 inch PVC piping for new sump and sewer ejector pumps. It worked well--way better than ratchet-type PVC pipe cutters.
