Works flawlessly. I've seen a few comments saying that there are no installation instructions that come with the device. Well, of course there aren't because this was not meant to be sold directly to the consumer. Besides that, the instructions would depend on what vehicle you're installing it on so they would have to ship you an entire 3000 page manual if they had to cover every vehicle. However, once you install weblink on your Windows computer and flash the controller, you'll be able to download all the instructions you could ever need FOR YOUR SPECIFIC VEHICLE! Detailed wiring schematics, pictures and diagrams showing you where to find all the connectors and wires etc. This will be a lot easier if you have some experience working on cars and/or electronics. If you don't have such experience, it's still possible to perform a successful installation. However, you're going to need quite a bit of patience and determination. You'll also have to rely on other resources like youtube. Give yourself as much time as you need and don't feel like you have to finish it in one day. If you don't feel up to the challenge, then simply call Idatalink and ask where the nearest authorized dealer is.

Plug and Play works well but the device itself will not program into my 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD event with the supplied T-Harness. iData instructions appear to be missing steps and they will not provide any assistance because only authorized dealers can get help. Edit: 06/22/23 iData called and helped me program it correctly, due to tunes on my truck had to override the programming manually. Works great now.

The iDatastart remote start products are fantastic. They are full featured, all-in-one modules with great documentation. The 5-button remotes are long range and loaded with features that can be configured in the firmware. No longer do you have to pay an extra fee to an installer to enable a feature in the firmware, just do it yourself. Installing this in our CR-V was a little challenging tapping into some very small parking light control wires but not too bad. Next step is to wire my rear defroster and sunroof to the auxiliary outputs. I keep hoping they will make a T-Harness for Subaru Outbacks but at least they support them with the hardwire (analog) harness.

Installed in a 2015 Jeep Renegade. No issues and everything works. added the drone mobile module so it would also work with a cellphone. Great item and if you have a 2015+ Jeep Renegade and are tired of waiting for Jeep to release the remote starter for it. Get this.

Have not had any problems! Worked great all last winter. Has been installed for almost 6 monthes now and working like a top.

When I tried to get support from Idatalink, they said that I needed to get support from the person who sold it to me and that person is not authorized to sell their product on amazon. I called the person who sold it to me from amazon and he told be basically he can't help me. Don't buy it!!! Pay I little extra and get it installed by a professional that gives you warranty and IS authorized! I don't usually give bad reviews because I know it hurts but I've been having a really bad experience with this installation. im starting to think it's going to damage my car.

Although I had some difficulty installing it (something wrong with my CANBUS), I got it in and working. When I say "easy to install", that's coming from an automotive tech of 20+ years and have done several dozen remote starts over the years. That being said, tech support was great, I had reflashed it so many times trying to get it to work before finding out about my vehicles bus issues that I exceeded the maximum number of flash attempts, they walked me through some common issues with my vehicle and reset the unit for me so I could continue the installation. Website (idatalink) has installation instructions for every vehicle this unit will work on.

It comes with universal harness with thousand of wires and no schematic. Can not find on internet. You would need to buy T Harness which cost almost the same as remote starter. Even with T harness which is specific for your car it would be really hard to install it. The company who install them would only install their own devices Expect to spend $750 for all
