I bought this artist pencil sharpener because it looked sturdy and could handle different pencil sizes and it absolutely delivers. It’s extremely well-made, nice and heavy, and feels solid in your hand. It sharpens pencils to a super fine point, whether you’re using art pencils or just regular ones. Honestly, it’s one of the best handheld sharpeners I’ve ever used. Plus, it’s beautiful. Highly recommend!

This pencil sharpener is so good. I am literally amazed. It is gentle on my pencils and gets them extremely sharp and pointy buyer be aware that these things are heavy and can literally be a weapon. My fiancé moved my coloring book and didn’t see the sharpener on top of it, and it fell and left a huge bruise on his ankle. The pencil sharpener is fine though! 🤣 it’s simple to clean and provides two different pencil lengths. I am almost positive. You can change the blade also which is amazing because most pencil sharpener you are forced to throw away but something on this quality I would never want to throw so I’m glad I can just buy replacement blades when needed.

CADILLAC... 'Yes', these are some of the best - MANUAL pencil sharpener's manufactured, on the planet. 'No', there is NO bin/container to catch your shavings in [if your looking for that ‘feature’, look another place]... You HOLD IT OVER your trash can or bin AND catch the shaving that way... It's 'old school' - ‘classic’ pencil sharpener, okay. However in return, for this/that minor inconvenience, you are going to find, you’ll get one of the cleanest - smoothest - sharpened wood-shafted pencils, in your writing/art/craft/pencil box you own. The blade is ‘razor sharp’ German manufactured steel [no Chinese stuff here] - AND you’ll find you can sharpen 100's and 100's of pencils, before having to even think of replacing the blade [and ‘yes’, replacement blades are out there for these]. I’ve acouple different styled M+R sharpeners - One’s pushing 30 yrs old and it still sharpens like the day I got it [go figure]. The Brass body on this sharpener has nice ‘weight’ to it; making it easy to hold and balance in your hands; it’s simple comfortable - And I’ve large-slender hands [with arthritis, too], and I’ve never had any ‘issues’ sharpening standard size and over-sized pencils, with an M+R sharpener. Their quality and detail with these is excellent...craftsmanship superb...materials excellent and they’ll last more then ‘your’ lifetime, under normal usage. My primary reason for this purchase, was I wanted a ‘sharpen’ on my pencils [use colored pencils for artwork], with more of a ‘medium-fine’ point - Not a ‘needle’, liked by many in the field. AND this style performs exceptionally well on producing that type of a lead point. I’ve never had an ‘issue’ on achieving any desired point, with an M+R sharpener; even with a ‘cheapy’ produced pencil, one can get results... As to ‘child-safe’... My 22 yr old Grand-daughter, started using an M+R sharpener before five - She still has ALL her fingers. My soon to be nine yr old Grand-son, has been using an M+R sharpener since before five and has yet, to incur an injury... Between four children and 8+ grandkids, there’s never been an ‘issue’ with a pencil sharpener about here. For around 10 bucks, I’ve no complaint with M+R and with this latest purchase. You could spend less and buy a cheaper sharpener... It’s what you want and/or need, is my thought. However, if you want a pencil sharpener, that’s going to ‘point’ your pencil and do an excellent job at it, then this you might seriously consider one of these. You will never have to worry about not getting a sharp pencil from how excellently it works. The quality's amazing for the price, and it can fit in any pencil box. It can be cleaned of pencil burrs easily. Last I checked this doesn't come in any color other than brass. I'm thankful there are multiple holes to sharpen pencils in, as while it's rare that pencil lead breaks in the normal thin hole I use, the bigger hole makes it impossible. If you're a pencil fiend, accept no other substitutes.

Just as sturdy as my ancient sharpener from the same company. Unfortunately, the quality control on the new one is a bit substandard. For example, the was a poorly machined edge on the small hole side that was quite sharp and required a bit of Dremel work to round it off.

You can never go wrong with a high quality German pencil sharpener. It handled a regular sized pencil and jumbo pencil. A must have if you like consistently sharp pencils.

If you use Blackwing pencils, don't buy the $25 Blackwing sharpener! This is a great alternative. I bought several. Small but hefty and sharp -- it doesn't tear up my pencils like a cheap sharpener.

Great little pencil sharpener definitely works on my small pastel pencils which i was having problems with. Really robust. Blades sharp and you can buy replacements which is good.

Me fascinaron, el calculo del angulo es perfecto, el material ni hablar, por otra parte para el cambio de hojas debe hacerse con precisión para conservar la perfección inicial de estos, con lapices 4H en adelante hay tener cuidado con la dureza ya que pueden dañar rápido la hoja.
