I have been bleaching my hair for ten years now. My hair is naturally dark blonde/ash. I wasn't introduced to chemical toning until a few years ago. Up until that point, I had continuously battled brassy strands. I tried Manic Panic white snow and Redkken Shades EQ 9V and 10V. Based on the reviews online, I decided to try Wella T18 and I now have found the perfect supplement to my hair regimen.When it's time for a touch up:Bleach my roots using 30vol sensitive scalp developer and bleach powderEvery couple of months, I will also do a bleach bath on the rest of my hair with keratin infused shampooI bleach my roots to a butter yellow, wash, rinse, but do not conditionOn towel dried hair (still semi damp) I apply the WellaT18. I find the toner absorbs more evenly if my hair is damp. I let the toner sit and when I think it has processed long enough, I let it sit another three to five minutes. I would rather have hair that is purple/gray for a couple of washes as opposed to having any yellow left.I wash my hair using Matrix So Silver shampoo and condition with Catwalk Fashionista.For some reason, my roots right at my scalp do not always tone to the icy color the rest of my hair does so I simply spritz in Roux Fanci-Full Rinse in Silver Lining or White Minx.

Great price! I love using wella T-18 to tone out the yellow brass to my blonde. Works well for me.T-18 is a violet it tones out yellow.T-14 is blue/violet it tones out orange.

Ive used this product four times now.. & I will continue to use it. My hair prior was bleached from dark brown, to an orange then the first two applications brought my hair to the white/platinum blonde color. However the last two times I applied were dedicated to my roots. For whatever reason my roots had a difficult time taking. I definitely saw results, but it was a slow process. Yes the product smells gross, not for long - I usually open a window. & I apply quickly.. bc my scalp is sensitive & it tends to burn slightly when any such products are left on for more than 15/20 minutes. I used with 20 developer.
